Instead of waking up at 6:00 am to clean windows at the MTC I will be waking up at 3:00am to check out of the MTC! I. AM. SO. STOKED. The day has finally come; Sister Lowe will no longer have to listen to me tell her how excited I am every day lol. I'll be flying first to Michigan and then to New York. Two new states in one day how exciting haha
Life here in Provo is pretty much the same. We learn, we eat, we teach. At times it can feel like a lot but I have never felt happier in my life. In just these past weeks I have drawn closer to my Savior than I have ever before. I have felt of his love every day and I know without a doubt that He loves each of you. When I am nervous, scared, or worrisome I know that He completes me.
Spiritual Thought
The Book of Mormon is powerful. It is the most powerful tool in conversion and as missioaries we have the opportunity to be powerful instruments in the Lord's hands. Heres a scripture from this amazing book it comes from Alma 34:32 :
32 For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.
This is the time. Time is ticking and is oh so precious. This lifetime is the time for us to prepare to meet God. As a missioanry I have come to the realization that I need to do all I can to prepare myself for my life time come. In reality 18 months is WAY too short to be occupied with things that dont matter in my life or things that would distract me from my purpose.
Likewise, in each of your lives be sure to use your time wisely. Time is so precious. Dont fill your days with frivolous distractions and activities; fill your days with people and choices that will uplift you and draw you closer to your goals.
Highlights of my week
- I attempted to play basketball on Monday. While I was chatting with someone else I got hit in the head with a
basketball. Happens everytime to me. Yeah theres a reason why I stick to the track.

- I gained a stronger testimony of how vitally important exercise time is. I was having a long day in class and then ran 3 miles with Sister Stegall and boy were the endorphins pumping. Oh and then we ate some ice cream. Life is swell. So I guess I have a testimony of exercise time and ice cream. Both are activities I 10/10 recommend doing on your free time.
-On Valentine's Day Eve our district wore all black. We all looked pretty sharp and classy but at the same time we looked like we were going to a funeral to mourn. Which isnt half false. I am going to miss my district SO much. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my teachers so much. Its crazy how a group of people I just met two weeks ago have become a second family. We all showed up on January 31 not knowing what to expect or even how to teach. And now we are all departing to serve the Lord *tear* look at us all grown up (sorta) :')
-It snowed on Thursday! We took a class break and frolicked in the snow. It was all fun and games until I got cold. New York winters will be an adventure fo sure.
Winter coats working well keeping us warm |
