Roommate Pics on the Brooklyn Bridge!!! (Right at the edge of our mission boundaries lol)  Aloha Family a me Friends! One month as a missionary and one week in the mission field. Dang life comes as you fast. Never have I ever walked so many stairs, taken so much public transportation, or have felt more accomplished each and every day. I've learned that the greatest feeling is climbing into bed feeling just straight up exhausted and thats how I know that I gave it everything I had that day. No regrets at all. " Rain drop drop top"  ft. Sister Ellis and her rap chips. Ok thats the extent of my rapping (for now) Life in the Bronx is like none other: cars driving by with bass pounding so hard I think I may go deaf, people dancing and singing in the streets, and people just doing their own thang. I've been loving every single minute of it. Every time we go outside it's a new adventure as I meet people from all over and hear their stories. In the ward I

Rolling in to THE BRONX

Image
Aloha family me friends, Left P-town (Provo Town)  Monday  morning and arrived in NY  Monday  afternoon. Needless to say this is unreal. Also my preparation day is  on Wednesday  now so dont worry Im not breaking any rules!  I am SO glad to have finally settled into my apartment because lugging three suitcases totally around 130 lbs was not fun. When we left  Monday  morning there was a good like couple inches of snow and I'm not the strongest nor most coordinated person so my bags kept falling in the snow haha they got just slightlyyy wet. Right when we got off the train in the Bronx we had to walk up this huge hill for like half a mile (or so it felt like) to get to the subway to get to our apartment and there were so many people and stores and my trainer walks so fast and is like 5'10 so it was quite the workout carrying around my suitcases; nice little welcome to mission life haha literally ROLLING IN the Bronx Yep you heard it right. I'm in the Bronx.

Classic map pic iykyk Aloha Family a me Friends, Kung Hee Fat Choy (Happy Chinese New Years)!!!! For everyone not on missions I hope you all fed some lions and ate lots of noodles! (Also please eat some for me I want long life as well). Also happy birthday to my Grampa today :)  Shoutout to Madie and Gerado for the donuts and sweet bread  Instead of waking up at  6:00 am  to clean windows at the MTC I will be waking up at  3:00am  to check out of the MTC! I. AM. SO. STOKED. The day has finally come; Sister Lowe will no longer have to listen to me tell her how excited I am every day lol. I'll be flying first to Michigan and then to New York. Two new states in one day how exciting haha Life here in Provo is pretty much the same. We learn, we eat, we teach. At times it can feel like a lot but I have never felt happier in my life. In just these past weeks I have drawn closer to my Savior than I have ever before. I have felt of his love every day and I know without

Week Two...Playing Connect Two

Image
One FULL week down Aloha Family a me Friends, Learning, teaching, pondering, sleeping, eating. A list of gerunds to describe my life here at the MTC. Quite the change from life before haha One thing that has remained the same is that Im still running. Ten laps around our indoor track = one mile. So you guys already know I'm THAT girl running a million laps. The sisters in my district are nice enough to run a mile with me but then after that I'm on my own. Nothing like running in green and windy Nu'uanu but in high school I've learned how to visualize while running pretty well (thanks Granny lol) so laps on laps isn't too bad. If you dont know already, I love to eat! THANK YOU ABBY AND AUNTY ANELA FOR THE COOKIES :) As missionaries we dont play "Connect Four" we play "Connect Two". To teach effectively you need to connect. Connect with God, connect with your companion, and more importantly connect with your investigator as th

First week IN the books

Aloha Family and Friends, Yes I'm alive and doing well. First week in the books...literally IN the books studying all day every day. As missionaries we hit the ground running, running hard I must add.  Tuesday at lunchtime I'm sitting with my parents eating Korean BBQ. 24 hours later I'm saying bye to my parents curbside and 10 minutes later I'm sitting in class and our teacher starts speaking to us in...English. Haha yep good ole English (no crazy language studying for me haha) And 24 hours later I'm already teaching. Yep I wasnt lying when I said we are running hard over here!  The MTC is exactly how many people have explained it to me: "It's like drinking water out of a firehose". Class, class, class. Basically class from 8am sometimes all the way to 9pm. It's crazy insane but crazy fun. Nothing bad about drinking from a firehose right? Water is good for you and you got to stay hydrated somehow hahaha My companion and district
