Here comes the Son dodododooo

Last district pic with Sister Tsifanay before she leaves for Temple Square :)

Aloha Family a me Friends!

As digits on the thermometer begin to rise, so do the digits in our contact book. What a nice relationship. More warmth, more people, more energy, more life. All around a good time to be alive! Here comes the Son (of God) to bless your lives even more!

The CUTEST little girl. She fell asleep
five minutes into our lesson with her mom
The missionary work in the Kingsbridge area is bumping (almost as loud as the music coming from all the mini vans driving around). More so, I have seen how important it is to be in the right place at the right time WITH the right mind. If we do not open our minds to God's we are surely missing out because "oh, there is so much more that your Father in Heaven wants you to know" (President Nelson 2018). May we more fully cultivate envrionments in our lives to not only recieve personal revelation from God but to ACT upon it.

If we don't act, we are not trusting God perfectly.

Since General Conference and Zone Conference. I've been focusing more on cultivating my life with things that will uplift and keep me in tune with the spirit so I can find those I can serve! And let me tell you. It's been working.
-  Sister Combe and I were walking down the street and then out of no where both of us just turn and start talking to this lady. Turns out her deceased grandmother was a Mormon. #whaaat
-  Came to a subway station and saw this pregnant lady. In my head I was like hmm pretty sure I've seen her before or I've talked to her before. Then I talked to her and turns out I've never met her before haha. BUT she was investigating the church in Manhattan and told us she wants to learn for her and her baby. So kiuke. :')
-  Had plans to go look up some people one night but felt like we should go check up on our investigator with a baptismal date. We went and did. Then started walking back. Some guy on the street said "Latter Day Saints whats up". So we stopped. Turns out he got baptized two years in Ghana and didn't know when and where the church was. Coincidence that he just got out of work? I think not. All in God's timing for us to be in his path and him to be in ours.

Just as the face of sunflowers follow the sun for nourishment and growth, we too need to follow the Son. Missions aren't easy, life isn't easy. But as we continually lookup we are promised growth and divine direction from someone who knows us perfectly. This is a promise I rely on everyday. I have found no greater joy than serving these people. Whether this may be carrying up tons of groceries for people or helping a 12-year old boy know that there is a God. As the weather warms up may we warm up to our Father's direction for us. I love you all!

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Manhattan Temple!!
But wait..let me take a selfie haha
 Randoms:
1) I have developed a strong liking for plantain chips. They're almost as good as bread haha
2) Sister Combe and I found out we've been writing the wrong number on our cards when we were giving our number to these three girls we used to teach (btw its 914 not 917 hahaha repentance is cool)
3) Friday we had a special Women's conference with the General Relief Society President, General Young Women's President, and General Primary 2nd counselor for the New York Metropolitan Area. 'Twas amazing.
4) Had an APF (Area Prostelyting Focus) activity and we passed out 70 Book of Mormon's in four hours. Whoop whoop. And a good majority were in Spanish. Thanks to our Spanish doormen all I had to do was get them in the church building and smile and nod.

Me ke aloha,
Sister Ellis
