Ready for takeoff..lol #Bermudalove  Aloha Family a me Friends!  *Beep Beep*. 6:15 am. Wakeup. 7:00 am. Eat breakfast. 8:30 am. Plan. 9:00am Personal Study. 10:00 am Companion Study. 11:00am-9:00pm Out and about. 10:30pm In Bed. *Beep beep*. And it starts again every single day for months on end.  I could just run a race to say "I did it" or I could run a race to say "I did it!!!". The difference is not merely just in the puncuation of the exclamation point but rather in the ton. Was this merely a race to get over with and make people happy or did I challenge, push, and stretch myself to reach a goal and enjoy the joy and satisfaction from reaching a goal. Such joy that is greater that triumphs all joy.  This past week, I witnessed the miracle of daily goals (this is something I witnessed early in my mission but fell out of the practice of making them meaningful). Thus I decided to bring it back again.  We made specific goals that ranged from &q

Roots Rockin Pt. 2

Happy St. Patricks Day!  Good day family and friends! I feel like I am dying (lol). Physically? I've had a slight cold the pat couple of days but things are getting better. Emotionally? Its like a punch to the heart everyday that someone seems to remind me that my six months on the island are coming closer than I'd like. Spiritually? I'm on cloud nine and loving the work so all is well. Spirit is strong but the body is weak (for now) haha.  Roots a rockin' part two. Last week I talked about rooting yourself in love. This week: family and cultural roots. My favorite. Roots a rockin' part two.  From recent converts discovering family records to trainings on family history to reading a bible with an elderly woman and her exclaiming she has a closet full of bible with family records (such that the bible its self is getting old but the record parts are well kept). To the youth prepparing for the island's first ever trek and learning about all of

Cobble stone paths, flags, tevas, sun. Good lil town to be in  Aloha Family a me Friends! When the mind says no, but the heart says yes so out of the mouth comes a yes.... 1. And you decide to take the extra rice from Sister Moss  2. And you decide to take the ice cream and loquat cake when offered even though you just ate a TON of spaghetti 3. And agree to getting picked up really really early Saturday morning to go weed a garden!  Carrots from the Mello-canns  Well as you know it, all good things happen on Saturday mornings and being out and about doing the Lord's work. We had the opportunity to join the sweet Mello-Cann family in caring for their garden. They had tons of carrots, sweet potatoes, and onions. And with all this produce growing and rich soil, comes lots of weeds which accumulate without the constant care that it needs.  To my surprise, the weeds were generally pretty easy to pull but there was just SO much. I was sadden by the large am

Oh, the places you'll RUN

There was a big ship in town this past week. Made me think I was in some kind of colonial era Aloha e 'ohana a me ko'u hoaaloha! Saturday morning as we went out at 6:30am to go for a jog and watched the sunrise paint the sky with shades of orange, pink, and blue, I had some thoughts come to me (as they usually do when I run :).  Oh, the places you'll go. Oh, the places you'll run.  Oh, the places you've been. Oh, the places you'll go.  I've had the opportunity to run in several areas and courses around the world. Each place is different and unique. Whether that may be the altitude (from sea level to Utah level), the weather conditions (sun blazing to snow falling), the terrain (hill mounds to flat grounds), the amount of people alongside of me (thousands to none).  Likewise, that's how the mission is. We have different areas, with vary circumstances and challenges. Different countries. Different weather conditions. Different si
